Young People's Division
The Young People’s Division (Y.P.D.) is a connectional church ministry established through the African Methodist Episcopal Church that teaches youth ages 2-17, Christian values, A.M.E. History, and service through missions and community outreach. Through participation in various programs, events, leadership summits, and service initiatives, our Y.P.D. creates opportunities for children and youth to grow in their spiritual lives, develop essential leadership skills and make lasting friendships. Scout Troops (Girls)
Here at Bethel we offer a Girl Scouts Troop that help girls grades K-12 develop and grow to their full potential. Promoting courage, self-reliance, and kindred virtues, the Girls Scouts of America encourage becoming responsible individuals, building friendships, and working with others to develop concern for the well-being of their communities. Children’s Church is offered during the weekly 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service to provide relevant instruction for children ages 3-11. In this environment children learn to love God and follow Him through various Christian activities created for their understanding. Teen classroom helpers are allowed to assist in classroom instruction based on their ministry involvement, academic performance at school, and overall behavior. The Nursery Ministry at Bethel offers childcare for 0-2 years during the weekly 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service. For more information about the Nursery and/or if you are interested in serving in this ministry, please email Bethel Nursery.
Youth Bible Study
Youth Bible Study is taught specifically for each age group and is held on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Elementary, middle, and high school students are engaged in meaningful discussion about God's love and how to develop a personal relationship with God in spite of culture, peer pressure, and other influences.
